This blog will contain picture items that you  can use to customize the look of your blog. Several of the blog themes have a feature called “Custom Header” which allows you to put your own photo or illustration across the top, to make the blog as unique as you are.
If you are using the default theme “WordPress Default”  ”F2″ , “Web Minimalist”,”Indore”, “Painter” or “Hope” one of the options under the Dashboard item called Appearance is “Custom Header“. Please note!! If you use the default (starter) theme, you must activate a special plugin – look for it!! (hint: it’s in the dashboard under Appearance–> plugins, called “Fitr”. After this plugin is activated, there is a special option under “Appearance” in your dashboard to customize your header image.
- First you should pick a picture from the gallery, right click (on pc) or control click (on mac) and save the picture to your computer.
- Then choose “Custom Header” under appearance. (the second one is the picture header – the first choice allows you to change the font colors of your blog’s title)
- Browse to the picture you saved, then upload it . You will also be given a chance to crop the picture before setting it in place.
Remember…. You can also just use one of your own pictures or photos to customize the header. Change it as often as you like!
